What I can help with

Hypnotherapy can be used to help with a wide range of conditions. I am based in Andover, Hampshire and I prefer to specialise and deliver amazing results for clients struggling with the issues on this page.

Anxiety is quite a broad term that covers a range of different issues.

The types of anxiety that I get the best results with are:

  • Generalised Anxiety Disorder
  • Social Anxiety Disorder
  • Phobias
  • Panic disorder

I do also sometimes work with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) if your GP or mental health team consider it appropriate.

Panic attacks can be really scary when they happen and can have  huge number of symptoms, some of which include.

  • Pounding heart
  • Feeling shaky or dizzy
  • Breathing too fast or difficulty taking in breath
  • Heart palpitations
  • Upset stomach

I would recommend that you go to your GP first if you have experienced these symptoms, just to double check that they are a panic attack. 

Once we know that we are dealing with panic attacks, hypnotherapy teaches you how to control them and calm yourself.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) can be a very difficult condition to live with as often we don't know what causes it.

IBS has been linked to stress and anxiety and there is more and more evidence that hypnotherapy can help ease the symptoms. 

If you think you may have IBS then see your GP first to rule out any other causes before considering hypnotherapy.

Impostor syndrome is where someone feels like the things they have achieved are down to luck.

These people constantly worry that others will find out that they aren't as good as they seem or will be seen as a fraud.

Confidence is something that can be learnt, even if you have never felt it before!

Lack of confidence is a common side effect of anxiety and so generally speaking, we work on confidence when the anxiety is under control.

I have my own pony and fully understand the mindset issues that horse riders face regularly.

I often work with riders who have had a bad fall or their confidence has been knocked.

I can also help people ignore the negativity that sometimes occurs on yards and show people how they can enjoy their horse and achieve whatever level of riding they want to.
